On Monday, 8 November 2010, the first high level Symposium on Future Challenges on Public Sector Enterprises was held at ICPE in Ljubljana, Slovenia, EU, premises. The Symposium was organized by ICPE with support of Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana and under the high patronage of the Ministry of Finance, the Republic of Slovenia. After the welcome speech by ICPE DG Dr Štefan Bogdan Šalej, Dr Franc Križanič, Minister of Finance in Slovenian Government officially opened the Symposium. Distinguished moderators and panelists, Ambassador Rubens Ricupero, Mr Peter Harrold, Ms Talent Molaba, Mr Hans Christiansen, Dr Nevenka Hrovatin, Prof. Anil Chandy Ittyerah, Dr Bhaskar Chatterjee, Dr Rado Bohinc, Ms Anja Strojin Štampar, Mr David Vaillancourt, Mr Franjo Bobinac, Mr P A Athula Kumara, Dr Dejan Erić, Mr Nestor Lopez, Ms Kenna Sikiu Bravo Avila and Dr Peter Kraljič, which represent nine countries across five continents and two international organizations World Bank and OECD, provided the audience with their opinions and specific country experiences on the issues of public enterprises in line with remarkable and interesting discussion afterwards.
